VOA Sits Down with Kidi, Discusses Ghana’s Music Industry
Kidi, a billboard-charting Ghanaian musician, says he is excited by the success of Afrobeats, an African musical genre receiving mainstream recognition across the world. The 30-year-old West African artist was recently among eight Ghanaian acts who performed in front of thousands at the Rolling Cocoa Festival in Washington.
