VOA chats with Dominica’s first Gold Olympic medalist LaFond
Thea LaFond made history in August when she won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. The women’s triple jump winner secured the first-ever gold medal for the Caribbean nation of Dominica. VOA’s Muqbil Yabarow sat down with LaFond, who spoke about her background and her journey to the Paris Olympics.
