South African Artist Jonathan Butler Releases Album After 8 Years
Jonathan Butler is one of the most celebrated artists from South Africa. His music is a fusion of jazz, pop, and gospel music. Butler’s music provided relief to many South Africans during the apartheid era, including former South African President Nelson Mandela, who later met Butler and told him that listening to his music had helped him endure time in prison. Jonathan Butler joined Red Carpet’s Jackson Mvunganyi to chat about his new album Ubuntu--the first in 8 years.
