Sewing Conference to Celebrate, Share Creative Practice
Sewing is not just a hobby, it’s a way of life for many people who love to create and express themselves through fabric and thread. The Sew Creative Lounge, a sewing school and quilt shop in the state of Maryland, U.S., will host its fifth Sew Much Soul conference, Sept. 8-10. The virtual event brings together the sewing community for three days of learning, sharing, and celebrating. VOA’s Kahli Abdu spoke to Cecily Habimana, co-founder of the Sew Creative Lounge, about her passion for stitching and needlework and what to expect from this year’s event.
