One Music Fest: A Chat with Trina
This year the festival paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, bringing out some of the pioneers of the genre including Florida rapper Trina often referred to as the "Diamond Princess". Trina who started singing in the late 90’s is known as one of the most influential female rappers who gained notoriety for her fearless approach to the male dominated genre. VOA’s Jackson Mvunganyi and Simms Lumami spoke to Trina at the festival.
