More Senegalese Migrant Deaths Reported Off Cape Verde Coast
Migrants are continuing to make perilous journeys by boat from West Africa in search of better opportunities in Europe. Most recently, off the coast of Cape Verde, dozens of Senegalese migrants were feared dead Thursday after their boat capsized. Life threatening journeys like these continue to persist, but for those who survive and return to the continent what happens next? VOA’s Anthony LaBruto spoke to Alioune Fall, president of Sama Chance, a migrant reintegration organization in Senegal, to understand how migrants are successfully brought back into African communities.
