Kenyan Startup Converts Plastic Waste into Furniture
Noma Green Plastic Limited, a Kenyan startup, repurposes 30 tonnes of plastic waste every month. Workers collect the waste from various dumps, sort it and heat it using thermo-regulated equipment through moulds to create pieces of outdoor furniture. “The more we use the plastic poles, the more trees we have in our environment and the more we can save our environment from deforestation," says Mugo Macharia, founder of Noma Green Plastic limited.
