From the Deep Exhibit: A Feminist and Futuristic Vision of Drexciya
In Washington D.C., a groundbreaking exhibition is exploring the myth of Drexciya, an underwater kingdom for enslaved people who died in the Atlantic. From the Deep: In the Wake of Drexciya with Ayana V. Jackson is the first monographic museum exhibition of the artist, who uses photography, video and sound to create an immersive and feminist Aquatopia.
