Analysis: US Democrat, Republican Vice Presidential nominees debate in New York City
Vice Presidential nominees, Democrat Tim Walz and Republican J.D. Vance, clashed on Tuesday at a debate that was surprisingly civil in the final stretch of an ugly election campaign marred by inflammatory rhetoric and two assassination attempts. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Russell Stone, a professor emeritus of sociology at American University in Washington, D.C., for an analysis into how the two candidates performed, and how it will impact the November presidential and legislative elections.
