As the war in Sudan continues between the Armed Forces and the Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, Sudanese civilians are staring at starvation. Women, children and the elderly are bearing the brunt of the war. The war also is taking a toll on the well-being of aid workers who have been the source of comfort for many desperate civilians. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Mohamed Elamin, the World Food Program communications officer in Sudan, who shared his struggles as an aid worker in the country and how others like him continue to face such dire circumstances.
