The nominations for the 96th Academy Awards were announced early this week by actors Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. They came with some snubs and but also some surprises. Two of the nominated documentaries were from Africa, including Bobi Wine: The People's President from Uganda. The documentary is based on musician-turned-presidential candidate Bobi Wine and his presidential run against Uganda's longtime President Yoweri Museveni.
