Senegal’s Pastef Party projected winner in legislative elections
Expectations were growing that President Bassirou Diomaye Faye’s party, Pastef, would win Senegal's Sunday legislative elections after two opposition leaders conceded while votes were still being counted. The West African nation saw some of the worst political violence in recent history ahead of the presidential election in March. VOA’s Linord Moudou spoke to Ibrahima Kane, a Senegalese political analyst, who broke down the election projected election results and what the incoming majority will likely pursue in their legislative agenda.
