Adetshina declares love for South Africa following Miss Universe Nigeria win
Beauty pageant Chidimma Adetshina will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe in Mexico, in November. The 22-year-old who withdrew from the Miss South Africa pageant due to controversies surrounding her Nigerian roots, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria on Saturday, where she competed against 24 other contestants. Adetshina's mixed heritage - born and raised in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother - led some to question her eligibility, causing her to exit the competition. "I love you all so much" Adetshina declared to South Africa, while promising to win the Miss Universe crown for Nigeria, saying "I know we are going to win."
