High school teacher's plan to help student through chess morphs into academy
An idea that started out as way to help one student having problems at home turned into a full fledge chess academy in Washington, D.C. where young kids learn chess, while gaining problem solving skills, discipline and the ability to apply the board game’s lessons in real life. VOA’s Philip Alexiou reports.
