World Press Freedom Day: South Sudan journalists speak on recent floods, drought and malnutrition
South Sudanese journalists say their country continues to recover from floods that struck East Africa in November 2023, leaving families facing extreme levels of malnutrition in the first half of 2024, according to the World Food Program, WFP. VOA Africa spoke to some South Sudanese journalists who said they look forward to using this year’s World Press Freedom Day commemorations to spotlight their contributions towards fighting climate change.
