Ghana's Stonebwoy Credits 'Ghettos of Ashaiman" for Strong Character
Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae sensation Stonebwoy says his music is heavily influenced by his background growing up in the Ashaiman neighborhood of the Greater Accra Region. The multi award winning musician was in Washington DC to sing at the inaugural Rolling Cocoa festival where hundreds of Africans mostly from the Ghanaian diaspora enjoyed performances from artists like Kidi, Black Sherif, Efya and many others. Stonebwoy spoke with VOA's Jackson Mvunganyi about his creative journey.
