Documentary Film "Free Money" Examines Universal Basic Income Experiment in Kenya
A new documentary film explores what happens when everyone in a Kenyan village receives a universal basic income for twelve years. The film, called "Free Money", follows the lives of the villagers as they cope with the benefits and challenges of receiving money from a US-based charity. VOA's Kahli Abdu spoke to the filmmakers Sam Soko and Lauren DeFilipo about the film and the impact of the UBI experiment.
