Despite Senegal’s Robust Press, Media Experts Say Penal Code Poses Threat
Senegal stands out in the West African region with its media pluralism consisting of more than 20 dailies, hundreds of radio stations, and several television channels broadcasting from the capital Dakar. Also currently there are no journalists in prison and no journalist has been killed while working the story. But Senegalese journalists find it harder and harder to perform their duty.
