Africa News Tonight: Young adults lead Kenya protests, US astronaut advocates for STEM education in Africa, Russia, Mali assess rebel attack
The recent protests in Kenya that forced the president to dissolve his cabinet have been led by people under 27 years old, members of Generation Z, many of whom identify as tribeless and classless. American astronaut, geoscience professor and artist Sian Proctor is touring South African schools to emphasize the importance of education in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. Tuareg-led separatists in northern Mali say they killed 84 Wagner fighters and 47 Malian soldiers in fighting late last month at a military camp near the Algerian border, which analysts say appears to be the heaviest losses Wagner has suffered in Africa.
