Farewell Tuku - Music Time in Africa
We are deeply saddened to feature the news of Oliver Mtukudzi's passing. The legendary Zimbabwean musician and friend of passed away January 23rd in Harare. Song of the Week features one of Tuku’s best songs and Mike Hove of the Zimbabwe Service joins me to present that. Throughout the hour, we’ll listen to other selections of Tuku's bests songs and moments I had with him in DC and most recently in Norton, Zimbabwe. You will also hear a great playlist of muic such as Angolan Kizomba, iconic rock from Niger, trending Afrobeats from Nigeria & Tanzania; reggae and traditional music from Ghana and Mali. Finally enjoy an exciting interview with Kenyan guitarist Kato Change from Nairobi.
