According to the International Energy Agency [IEA], an estimated 600 million people in Africa, or 43% of the continent's total population, do not have access to electricity. In Nigeria, Africa’s largest country, although electricity has been generated for more than a century the infrastructure development remains slow and its power generation and distribution inadequate.
