War Crimes in Ethiopia: “All Parties Responsible”: US
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday that the State Department carried out a "careful review of the law and the facts" and concluded all sides in the brutal conflict in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. This accusation includes members of the Ethiopian and Eritrean national armies as well as the Tigray People’s Liberation Front and forces aligned with the Amhara region. Blinken said those responsible for atrocities must be held accountable. Meanwhile, Ethiopia's government on Tuesday accused the U.S. of taking a "partisan" approach by alleging that its forces and Eritrean troops, had committed war crimes during the two-year conflict in Tigray.
