VOA 60: Ivory Coast president says French troops will withdraw in January, and more
Ivory Coast president Alassane Ouattara said Tuesday in an end-of-year speech that French forces will withdraw from the country in January. Faye earlier announced that former colonial ruler France would have to close its military bases in Senegal. These, and more Africa-related news updates on today’s VOA 60.
