US CDC issues a Health Alert about mpox outbreak in DRC

The U-S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a Health Alert this week about the mpox outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. US CDC virologist Dr. Christy Hutson, who studies mpox, describes to VOA's Carol Van Dam how mpox spreads and says health experts are somewhat concerned mpox may spread to other continents.
