UN Chief Urges Russia to Revive Grain Deal
The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday urged Russia to resume the Black Sea grain deal, saying otherwise the world's most vulnerable will suffer the worst consequences. "We are already seeing the negative effect on global wheat and corn prices which hurts everyone. But this is especially devastating for vulnerable countries struggling to feed their people,” Guterres said during a speech in Rome at the opening of a three-day U.N. food summit.
