UK Court Rules Rwanda Asylum Plan Legal
U.K. High court ruled on Monday that a plan to send asylum-seekers on a one-way trip to Rwanda is legal. The judges set another hearing in the case for January 16. Human rights groups say it is immoral and inhumane to send people to a country they don’t want to live in. “We are very disappointed by the outcome today. Obviously, we now need to regroup and consider our next steps," Detention Action's deputy director James Wilson said.
