South Sudan's Troika countries — the United States, United Kingdom, and Norway — are urging an inquiry into the killing of the deputy chief administrator for the Abyei Administrative area over the weekend. Responding to the incident, the South Sudan National Police has initiated an investigation and deployed forces to the area to preempt any potential resurgence of violence.
