South African fashion entrepreneur Rich Mnisi won the "Best Designer Africa" award at this year’s Africa Fashion Up competition held in Paris. The Fashion Up competition is a creation of Share Africa, a platform that brings together top designers from countries around the continent. British Standard Type, a London-based organization that creates, publishes, and distributes custom typefaces, has collaborated with British-Nigerian artist and designer Yinka Ilori to create a new font called "Yinka Sans." The new font features Ilori’s traditional bold, provocative and playful visuals, with rounded new letterforms. Ilori is one of Britain's most celebrated artists who often features his Nigerian heritage in his designs.
