Lawyers for Tanzania’s jailed opposition leader, Freeman Mbowe, have petitioned the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention. For Daybreak Africa, VOA's James Butty spoke with John Mrema, Chadema’s spokesperson, who said the detentions were arbitrary and violate international law.
