Some South Sudanese who fled the ongoing fighting in Sudan say they escaped under heavy fighting between Sudan Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum and other cities in Sudan. One of the returnees, Khamisa John, who lived in Sudan for 20 years, describes her journey from Sudan to South Sudan as ‘’difficult and dangerous’.
