SSudan University Lecturers Go on Strike Over Pay [4:08]
Academic staff at the University of Upper Nile and two other public universities have again called a strike. The chairperson for the Academic Staff Association at Upper Nile University says the university will remain closed until the staff’s grievances are addressed. The higher education minister called the university staff irresponsible for striking, saying plans are underway to meet their demands. For South Sudan in Focus, Manyang David Mayar reports from Juba.
