Ongoing talks in Nairobi between the South Sudan government and holdout rebel groups have sparked reactions from other political groups in the diaspora. Joseph Makuer Nyieth, a former Lost Boy and Chairman of the Patriotic People's Party, expressed his desire to join the talks aimed at including political parties that refused to sign the 2018 peace agreement. Nyieth told VOA’s John Tanza that the mediator of the Nairobi talks should include his group in the peace process.
