Show Host Oprah Winfrey appeals to unaffiliated, undecided voters to back Harris
Former U.S. Talk Show Host Oprah Winfrey — a registered independent — made a direct appeal to unaffiliated and undecided voters to back Vice President Kamala Harris for the U.S. presidency, saying, “Decency and respect are on the ballot in 2024.” She adds: “Character and values matter most of all.” On day three of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago Wednesday, Winfrey paid tribute to Tessie Prevost Williams, one of the “New Orleans Four,” who died last month. Prevost Williams was one of four Black girls who helped integrate the city’s public schools in 1960. Winfrey closed with a resounding shout of “Let us choose Kamala Harris!”
