Senate Republicans say with new leadership they are ready for unified control in 2025

When President-elect Donald Trump comes into office in January 2025, the Republican party will have unified control of the U.S. Congress. As the result of a mandate from American voters, Republicans will hold majorities in both the Senate and House. VOA’s congressional correspondent Katherine Gypson has more from Capitol Hill.
