People in the Democratic Republic of Congo are falling ill to a mystery disease
People in a remote part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are falling ill with a mysterious disease that’s being called “Disease X.” Nearly 400 cases have been reported so far and 79 people have died. VOA’s Carol Van Dam asked Dr. Amash Adalja, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Public Security and a physician who focuses on emerging infectious diseases if this disease could be spread around the world.
