Analyst: Palestinians Face Leadership Crisis Amid Ongoing War
Amid the worsening humanitarian crisis, Hamas fighters and Israeli troops continued fighting across the Gaza Strip, with the militants trying to block Israeli tanks from advancing through the shattered streets. For more the ongoing hostilities, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Dana El Kurd, a Palestinian American analyst, who says a large part of the problem in the Palestinian territory is lack of leadership from President Mahmoud Abbas, who is regarded by many as irrelevant in dealing with the Hamas militant group and the war with Israel as well as some of the long term implications of the ongoing war.
