Namibia’s President Nangolo Mbumba speaks to VOA on SWAPO party’s future
Namibia's President, Nangolo Mbumba, has endorsed incumbent Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as the presidential candidate of the ruling SWAPO party ahead of the coming November 27 general elections. It comes after the president declined to run again for office saying he would rather campaign for his deputy for the presidency. In a wide-ranging interview with VOA's Peter Clottey, President Mbumba talks about his decision not to compete in the coming polls as well as his confidence in the electoral body's ability to organize a credible vote.
