Women's basketball has gained popularity in East Africa, with many professional players from various African countries vying to be powerhouses in the sport. Aminata Samassekou, a teenage basketball player from Mali, and Grace Irebu, her teammate from the Democratic Republic of Congo, are emerging as professional basketball stars in Kenya.
