Journalist Reflects on the Current Humanitarian Crisis in Sudan
Sudan's ongoing conflict has displaced more than 3 million people, according to humanitarian groups. Among the number of Sudanese that fled to neighboring countries to escape the conflict is a Sudanese journalist, Shakoor Nyaketo. Shakoor fled with his pregnant partner, hoping to find a haven for the family. Shakoor, alongside other Sudanese, walked hundreds of kilometers for several days from the Sudanese capital Khartoum to Nairobi, Kenya. VOA’s Paul Ndiho reports.
