Israeli Airstrike Kills Senior Hamas Leader in Lebanon
The United Nations called the Israeli strike that killed a senior Hamas leader in Beirut on Tuesday "extremely worrying." Lebanon's national news agency said six people were killed, including Hamas militant leader Saleh al-Arouri, when the drone struck a Hamas-affiliated office. Arouri was a deputy head of Hamas's politburo and a founder of its military wing, the Qassam Brigades, which carried out the deadly assault in Israel on October 7. For more, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to reporter Patricia Khoder in Beirut, Lebanon.
