Israel, Hamas Cease-Fire Calls Increase

Global humanitarian groups are increasingly calling for a cease-fire in Gaza, where Israel is carrying out a military operation that it says is focused on ending Hamas, the militant group that attacked the Middle Eastern nation in October, abducting 240 hostages, some of who were recently released in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. VOA’s Carol Van Dam spoke to Shaina Low of the Norwegian Refugee Council, one of the humanitarian groups calling for a cease-fire, who said aid operations in Gaza have been halted due to the ongoing war.
