Horn of Africa instability

The Ethiopian government’s push to secure an outlet to the Red Sea has neighboring states going into action. I recently spoke with Michael Woldemariam an associate professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Senior Fellow at the Center for International & Security Studies at Maryland. Woldemariam’s teaching and research interests are in African security studies, with a particular focus on armed conflict in the Horn of Africa.
