A spokesperson says the government of Guinea Conakry is committed to freedom of the press but believes such freedom must be exercised within the context of the law. Spokesman Ousmane Gaoual Diallo, tells VOA’s James Butty, the stations were shut down because they failed to comply with regulatory and contractual obligations.
