As families and survivors of the 1994 Rwanda genocide mark the 30th anniversary of the mass killings, many wonder what life would have been like if their loved ones were still alive. Others still struggle with the traumatic experience, and many have resolved to forgive those who committed atrocities against them. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Prudentienne Seward, a Rwandan genocide survivor and founder Peace for the African Great Region (PAX), on how she is helping communities divided by the massacre find peace with one another.
