FBI: New Orleans terror suspect said he had joined Islamic State group

The suspect in the deadly New Year’s Day terror attack in New Orleans was inspired by the Islamic State terror group and appears to have acted alone, the FBI said Thursday. The suspect was an army veteran. Investigations continue on motives and possible links to another vehicle attack in Las Vegas driven by a U.S. soldier.
