China’s President Xi Jinping used the China-Africa Cooperation Summit, FOCAC, to pledge $51 billion over three years to support infrastructural projects and job creation in Africa — a move that experts say is proof that the Asian nation is strengthening its cultural, political and economic ties to the continent.
