CAF Authority Talks AFCON Success, Improving Local Leagues and More

Raul Chipenda, the Director of Development at the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Africa’s footballing authority, on Monday gave a press conference where he talked about the success of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament that is ongoing in Ivory Coast. Chipenda also spoke on how the tournament reflects the growth of African football, using South Africa’s Bafana Bafana — a team comprising of majority local players — as an example.
