Antiretroviral Vaginal Ring Receives Regulatory Approval in East, Southern Africa
The Population Council, a global health research company says the dapivirine vaginal ring — a flexible silicone that slowly releases the antiretroviral drug into a woman’s vagina over a month — received regulatory approval for use in 11 countries across East and southern Africa.
