Analysis: Kenyan Deputy President hospitalized amid impeachment proceedings
The lawyer representing Kenyan Deputy Vice President Rigathi Gachagua in his impeachment trial told senators Thursday that he was taken to the hospital and is “very sick”, according to Reuters. This comes as lawmakers weigh, for a second day, charges brought against Gachagua by the National Assembly. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Francis Ontomwa, a reporter with KTN, a VOA Africa affiliate television station, from Nairobi, Kenya for the latest developments from the trial.
