African Filmmaker Inspired by US to Tell Better Stories
Caleb Karawa, a Cameroonian alumni of the U.S.-sponsored Mandela Washington Fellowship and the founder of “Karawa Media,” is calling on African filmmakers to spotlight more positive stories from the continent to counter stereotypes that have shaped negative global narratives of what it means to be African.
